Covid-19 / Coronavirus Update

5th January 2021

1600 hours Tuesday 5 January 2021 – COVID-19 Updated Statement from Welsh’s Coaches

Last Evening’s lockdown announcement by Boris Johnson means that our Doncaster office must remain closed for the duration of the lockdown. With effect from 6 January, and for a limited period, skeleton staff will be available to answer emails sent to and incoming calls to 01977 643873 between 9.30am and 1pm Monday to Friday. We are not permitted to operate holidays whilst in lockdown and departures up to the end of February have, therefore, been cancelled. Please note that as per our update at the end of November, the Party Weekend has been postponed from 29 January to 26 March. We are in the process of contacting those clients who have bookings during this period; please bear with us whilst we work through this in date order.

We hope that you remain safe – and sane – and we look forward to resuming our holiday programme as soon as we are permitted.

Thank you for your continued support

1300 hours Thursday 31 December 2020 – COVID-19 Updated Statement from Welsh’s Coaches

Following the announcements by our Government shortly before Christmas, and again yesterday, we have decided that our offices will remain closed until such time as South/West Yorkshire is not subject to Tier 3 (or 4!) restrictions. You are, however, able to make your reservation by telephone (01977 643873 or 01302 760761) from 6 January between 0930 and 1430 Monday to Friday. Alternatively please email your request to or and we will reply as soon as we are able. We are not able to operate any tours or day trips whilst we are subject to Tier 3 restrictions; if you are due to travel in the near future or to pay the balance of your monies for a forthcoming departure we will contact you close to the departure date.

Meanwhile, when your brochure pops through your letterbox next week, sit back, read and plan your 2021 holidays!

We wish you all a peaceful, healthy and holiday-filled 2021!

1300 hours Friday 18 December 2020 – COVID-19 Updated Statement from Welsh’s Coaches

We are pleased to advise that our 2021 Holiday Brochure will be mailed out around 4 January and both our booking offices will re-open on Wednesday 6 January, with initial opening hours from 0930 to 1430. We have lots of interesting new tours for you to sample, why not take a look at them on this website – just about all of them are now available to view. We are hoping to re-commence departures from February but of course this depends on the local Covid tier ratings. If, therefore you have a reservation for a February holiday would you please make arrangements to pay the balance on the due date or 6 January, whichever is the later.

We send our very best wishes for Christmas, even if it will not be what you had hoped for, and that 2021 brings better times for all.

Thank you for your continuing support

Following the information regarding Covid Tiers from 2 December given by Matt Hancock in the House of Commons last week, South and West Yorkshire will be in Tier 3.

Despite the brief respite to the regulations over the Christmas period, many businesses in the hospitality sector have decided to remain closed; the cost of re-starting a business in Tier 3 for a period of only 5 days is not financially viable for most hotels. We are very sad to have to advise, therefore, that all departures up to the end of January have been cancelled. Our planned Party Weekend has been moved from 29 January to 26 March with the same itinerary and prices.

We are in the process of writing to clients booked on holidays that have now been cancelled, so please bear with us whilst we work through this methodically.

As we are classified as a non-essential business, our offices will remain closed for the time being. However, emails will be monitored ( and messages left on 01977 643873 will be picked up, but please be sure to give your booking reference number and brief details of the reason for your call.

Most of our 2021 holidays are available to view on this website, and the remainder will be added in the next few days. We have decided to delay the launch our 2021 Brochure until early January when our reservations staff will ready and waiting to take your bookings.

Please do remember the important message that any monies paid towards your bookings remains safe and continues to be protected by our BCH (Bonded Coach Holiday) Bond. For more information about BCH click here to see their website.

We continue to thank you sincerely for your patience and understanding in these unprecedented circumstances and hope that you have an enjoyable Christmas and a peaceful and healthy 2021.

We look forward to welcoming you aboard very soon
